The Layover is Revelle’s first fall and winter travel wardrobe: pieces for the cities you visit between beach seasons, worn from the first coffee to the last glass of wine.
What’s new at Revelle this fall
The Layover is a new division of Revelle, and our first collection of elevated ready-to-wear. It is a tightly edited capsule of contemporary tops, each designed to take you from a morning gallery visit to a candlelit dinner without a change in between. Every piece sits between $98 and $120, which makes it the most accessible way to wear Revelle yet.
Each top is named for a city, and each one carries a little of that city’s attitude.
Meet the tops
- Milan. A poplin one-shoulder shirt cinched by a taupe corset and finished with sculpted gold buttons. Tailoring with a pulse.
- Versailles. A crisp white shirt under a black-and-white tweed corset. Heritage, worn lightly.
- Monaco. White poplin, brown tweed and gold-crest buttons. The shirt you wear to lunch on a terrace and keep on for the evening.
- Lisbon. A white asymmetric wrap shirt, soft and sun-washed in spirit, even in November.
- Aspen. An ivory ribbed mock-neck knit. The quiet layer under a camel coat.
- Kyoto. A padded-shoulder twist top in khaki and black. Architectural, precise, effortless.
- New York. An off-shoulder corset sweatshirt in olive and black. Downtown ease with structure.
- Stockholm. A cropped twist sweatshirt in burgundy and brown. Scandinavian restraint with a warm edge.
- Boston. A burgundy layered sweatshirt with a striped collar. Collegiate, polished, made for weekends away.
How to pack The Layover
The tops are designed to do the work of a whole suitcase. Pair one with tailored trousers and loafers for the day, then add gold earrings and a sharper lip for dinner. A few combinations our stylists love:
- A long weekend in a European city: Milan or Monaco with wide-leg trousers, a trench and a structured bag.
- A ski chalet week: Aspen under a shearling, then Stockholm for après with leather pants.
- A city break in New York or Boston: New York with dark denim and ankle boots; Boston for brunch the next morning.
- Right here in Toronto: Versailles or Kyoto for a Yorkville dinner, a gallery opening or the office holiday party.
The palette is made to mix: ivory, camel, cocoa, moss and olive sage, with burgundy for warmth. Three tops and two pairs of trousers give you a week of outfits.
